WHO AM I?
The First Half of Me
I was born on the south coast of England, in a town called Eastbourne, in 1984. I was the second child for my parents - Peter and Sue, my sister Becky having been born a year earlier. My parents divorced when I was barely two years old, and for about a year I stayed in foster care whilst my father fought hard in the courts to gain custody of my sister and I.
At the age of four I moved further north to a town called Swindon which lies right next to the M4 snaking it's way through the picturesque county of Wiltshire. The county itself is beautiful, with rolling hills, world-famous tourist attractions such as Stonehenge and crop circles (we get them virtually every autumn, and for some reason we get more of them here than anywhere else in the world.).
Most of my childhood is a fuzzy blur to me now, but suffice to say it wasn't a very happy one.
At the age of 16 I ran away from home, though not very far away as I ended up at my nan's who lived a few streets away. Despite the lack of distance I felt safe there, as Becky had also run away there a year previously. But all too-soon I realised having two extra mouths to feed was too much to expect from my dear nan, as she was also looking after a daughter (Aunty Jane) with disabilities as well as a husband who has various health issues.
And so I struck out on my own, staying in a hostel for a short while, but conflicts with other residents forced me to look elsewhere for a place to live.
Enter my hero. My uncle.
My uncle is someone I've always been close to, and gotten along well with - for as long as I remember. We have a lot in common when it comes to musical taste, life morals, the way we treat people and the way we look at life in general. It's often been commented that I have an "old soul" and was "born long after my time". I suppose they're right. I do love steam engines, 1940's cars and the way they used to dress back then!
9 years have passed since the day he offered his home as my home. In all that time we have never had a major argument. Of course we've had disagreements (often we're actually saying the same thing, but in different ways and don't realise it lol) - every relationship has them - but we always work them out and rarely go to bed angry at each other. I've always made a point of that, and in saying "I love you" to him every night - for you never know, one day it might be the last chance you get to say it...and I don't want to regret having not said it or having the last thing between us be an argument.
I love to doodle, sketch and draw. Whether it be using a pencil and sketchpad or my Xara Xtreme program on my computer. I also love to create music using Fruity Loops. I'm by no means an expert, and probably not even that good compared to some of the skilled musicians out there - but I have fun and that's the main thing :)
Anything else you want to know? Just ask. I'm not shy when it comes to talking about me, or my life...and very few subjects are considered "off-limits" to me...

The Second Half of Me
Her name is Pamela and she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. She's my best friend as well as my soulmate - the love of my life. She's kind, gentle, sweet, thoughtful, gorgeous, has an amazing mind and is very creative (she writes poems that are really worth a read).
It still amazes me that we've only known each other for three years, and only been in love for two of those years. We've already been through more than most couples go through in an entire lifetime. It's been a bumpy ride, but the very fact we started out as best friends first has given us a solid foundation to build a relationship on. Our friendship has been the glue that held us together when times where tough, and for that I am entirely grateful.
I met Pamela online (I hear some of you sigh at this, but trust me - online relationships CAN work!) on a video-sharing and webcam chat site called Livevideo.com - we clicked immediately and soon became good friends. I admit, it took me some time to admit my feelings, not only to her - but to myself as well. I fell head over heels for her long before I even revealed I 'like-liked' her. Things moved fairly quickly after that. We went from best friends to lovers within a few weeks. At first I wanted to take things slow, I've been in too many relationships that were messed up by moving to fast, but nature had other ideas for us and things progressed the way they wanted to.
Life for us hasn't been easy, far from it - but since going public to our friends and family about our relationship we've reached calm water finally and things are looking good from here. I fully intend to spend the rest of my life with this amazing, gorgeous and wonderful woman, and spend it showing her just how lucky I feel to have her in my life and to prove the depth of my love for her.
